well, dimmu is symphonic black metal, and now they're starting to add the death sound into their new stuff. but, generally, they are black metal.

If you strip down black metal to it's core, Dimmu ain't black metal coz they are too commercial. They just use bm influences like Cradle of Filth (shit).

cradle of filth is mostly about xxxtreme horror. dimmu moslty talks about satanic apocalypse.

And Early Metal... Not really a genre, but it describes several early metal bands like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin(I always misspell, it, so whatever).

power metal and proggressive are two important genres that could have replaced some of those genres in the vote area, but heavy and symphonic aren't too important. they're both very broad categories.

but, early metal in a way is important, because it basically is the fathers of metal. the only other genre they can fall under is heavy metal/hardrock. which, are now two very broad genres.

and dimmu is mostly symphonic black metal. melodic black metal is more like children of bodom (with the power metal sound).
