| My computer is on the edge, and being able to keep my stuff safe on another hard drive seems to be... the smart thing to do. But I have no idea what would be a good brand, model, etc. I am willing to spend $150 tops (seeing as I have other things I have to pay for). So any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

| pkb, if you're going for an external hard drive, you should think about your budget. If your budget's good, then I suggest you buy a 250 GB external hard disk. |

| Well, I already went out and bought one, only to find out that my computer has some kind of software error and will not accept USB storage systems. So I decided that I needed a new comp. Took out a loan, and got a Sony Viao. 200 GB, plus the future external hard drive should be plenty. |

| Tigerdirect (possibly even Newegg) has a 1 Terabyte (1000 Gigabytes) external harddrive now for sale for about $100.
Bumping old topics FTW ;-) |
