PostSubject: Thinking Of Buying An External Hard Drive   Sun Jun 10, 2007 5:41 am

My computer is on the edge, and being able to keep my stuff safe on another hard drive seems to be... the smart thing to do. But I have no idea what would be a good brand, model, etc.

I am willing to spend $150 tops (seeing as I have other things I have to pay for). So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

pkb, if you're going for an external hard drive, you should think about your budget. If your budget's good, then I suggest you buy a 250 GB external hard disk.

Well, I already went out and bought one, only to find out that my computer has some kind of software error and will not accept USB storage systems. So I decided that I needed a new comp. Took out a loan, and got a Sony Viao.

200 GB, plus the future external hard drive should be plenty.

Tigerdirect (possibly even Newegg) has a 1 Terabyte (1000 Gigabytes) external harddrive now for sale for about $100.

Bumping old topics FTW ;-)
