| yeah, it was cool... but like the movie Iron Man, it was way too over hyped.
Iron Man got it cause it was the return of Downey, and The Dark Knight got it cause Heath died.
seriously, #1 movie of all time? hell, V for Vendetta and The Matrix should get that shit.
don't get me wrong, i liked The Dark Knight... but it definitely wouldn't be up there with the greatest movies i've ever seen.

| Neither of your suggestions deserve to be labeled best moved ever. Then again, no movie can. Unfortunately such a title is based entirely on opinion. | |

| no, i don't think those movies are the best ever. but they're definitely blockbuster material that deserves to be #1 in money making.
they kickass and have a very good story that blows your mind. elements in a "blockbuster".

| The Matrix? Seriously? Do you even know the philisophical meanings? Or what greek philospher's story the movie is based off of?
Probably not, and if you don't, that bassically means you just felt they were trying to tell you something, without getting the actual meaning, and that means shit.
And I loved the dark knight, not because some French lover died, but because said French lover delivered and amazing performence.
And Iron Man made it big because, well, it was just a bad ass movie, with a semi-crappy ending

LOL, DOMINOES! | |

| to be honest. i really don't care about that. V got publicity in the wrong way though... that sucks (fuckin' anon).
although... i know it's over hyped and overrated. it's actually obvious. when every teenage girl has on their myspace "ZOMG, I'M IN LOVE WITH THE JOKER" you know it's over hyped. or when a bunch of kids start making youtube videos of how good they are at impersonating the joker.
really, they should just cut any scene without the Joker.
meh, commercialism at it's finest though. everyone gets sucked in. just like the Jonas Brothers really.
holy shit... The Dark Knight = The Jonas Brothers.

| Carsito's communistic beliefs clearly stem from the fact that his mother would always tease him with the breast then give him the bottle. | |

I lol'ed. Hard. Very hard. And, Dark Knight is overrated, yes, but that doesn't mean the movie didn't deserve to be "overrated". The dead Frenchie only added up to the ZOMG of the movie.

| In my opinion, I think the movie was a epic win. Not because a guy died. But because of the Joker, I dont know for you guy's, but I think the Joker was the main caracter of the movie. I would always try to see what was is next move and about 45-55% of time, I was right! It was like the producer's wanted people to enter the head of a insane scociopath. And PKB is right for the philosofical part. A movie is not a blockbuster only because of the awesome graphics and shit. Look at star wars for a second. In my opinion, the last one they did wasent that good... Know why? The producer didint want to make is odience think, he was probably to buzy working on the special effects. But look at Berserk for a moment. (I know its not a movie, but its a good example) It got great drawing, and to be honest, the best ones I ever saw. But thats not why I love that manga so much, its because of its human side. (I hope you guy's are following) In star wars 3 Anakins actions says: "I have to fight to help her." But in berserk, what guts is saying is:"Why do I fight? Is it for her? Am I just fighting for me? Why did I even chose to fight them all?" And it make me think of my life as well, makes me question my actions, my motivations, etc... (I hope I made it clear enough) But thats just my opinion. | |
