PostSubject: Dante's Inferno   Wed Dec 16, 2009 5:08 pm

I finished reading it recently and it was very good.even if it is just Dante being annoyed at being kicked out of Venice. It describes hell very well it felt visual however I didn't feel engaged in the people. The Main character ,it seems, was hell. The greats who were in hell spoke to me more as characters than as Dante character. However, I was amused when he kicks someone who is suffering in the head because he betrayed him in real life. Overall I feel it's overrated however most of "The Classics" are. But, it was a really good poem i'd give it an 8.5/10 it's a definite must read but some of the people in hell seemed disengaged and honestly don't seem to be that bothered about what they endure.
