I have faced the things inside,

Stared them in the eye,

I have seen the horrors,

I have seen the lies,

I have seen them die,

I have seen the warm me,

So sickeningly sweet,

So kind and so loving,

So pitifully weak,

I have seen the cold me,

So startlingly devoid of feeling,

So logical and calculating,

So painful is the void,

I have seen the joyous me,

So exceedingly loud,

So trustful and so easy going,

So easily betrayed,

I have seen the Beast,

That dwells beneath the skin,

So violent and sadistic,

He revels in destruction,

He revels in despair,

He’s the one I fear,

What I saw in His eyes,

Too much to bare,

He is the reason I live alone,

I fear one day He will be free,

And destroy the ones I love,

In his sadistic glee.

seems like emo lyrics,no offense...
it just seems like something I'd write if I were feeling sober. Good job though. Looks like you put lots of work into it.

Emo... well yes, but isn't most poetry? This is me expressing my utter hatred for myself and my weakness, plus the fear I hold of my sanity...

No. I really delved into how I felt about myself writing this. I wanted to know why I hated myself, and poetry has always helped me with this.

I also wanted it to have a nice flow, so I chose the words carefully.
