Rehab vs. Prison

Of course Rehab is important for people who want to change their life, but now judges are making rehab an alternative for prison (mostly with sexual crimes against children).

So many pedophiles are getting probation and being sent to clinics instead of serving jail time.

The whole purpose of prison is to scare people from commiting crimes, and for the 2% of people actually changed by psychiatrists, i don't think it's worth it.

what do ya'll think? is what the current liberal judges doing right?

they sent my cousin to prison because they thought he was a sex predator and he missed his court date. I rather go to rehab but not to Tulsa Regional Medical Center, they strap you down to the beds and you can't talk to the girls.

sounds like an insane ward other than rehab.but i'd say prison is better because they basically strap you down and beat it out of you in rehab. they just cover it up with those sad stories they put on the news

If I were in the situation, I would pick rehab:
It's nicer, there's less assholes, and you don't have to be on death row to order take-out.

And yes, pedo's go to prison and get the fuck beat outa them, shanked, the whole nine yards, no fuckin rehab for them. They took someone else rights away, now it is their turn to be the prey.

what would we prefer if we were sentenced with that?

I sincerely think that IF someone has a mental problem that commits a crime, then there should be the option to give them special help instead of jail time.

The reality is regardless of mental state many will get off easy in comparison with their crimes.

the reasons are many, personal opinion judges, the jails and prisons are rediculously overcrowded.

In my own opinion, I wish it were an ideal world where the crime fit the punishment, but there are flaws and always will be.

Its a good system in principle, but unfortunately its populated by people, who are very far from perfect.

I have an uncle, and he constantly goes in and out of rehab, and it doesn't do shit for him, I really think you should get 1 try at rehab, and that should be it, you get 1 chance at rehab, when you get out, they keep track of you, and if you fuck up, that's it you get prison, no second chances

i think you can go to rehab depending on what you are going for and how many times you've been there if its something small in the majorities opinion then sure go to rehab once MAYBE even twice but after that go to prison or if you do something seriously fucked up please go straight to prison do not pass rehab do not collect 200$

That sounds like a good plan. A non-lenient prison term (Say 15, 25 years without parole) to beat the shit outta them, get them raped, etc etc. Then bring in the rehab.
